Faced with rising travel costs and the challenges of traveling abroad, you can fulfill your desire to visit inspiring and transformative places—less than two hours from home! Ginny Anderson, psychologist, shamanic teacher, and author of Circling San Francisco Bay: A Pilgrimage to Wild and Sacred Places, will introduce you to a new approach to experiencing the magical world around the San Francisco Bay. You’ll learn attitudes and approaches that will deepen your connection with the natural world; see photographs and hear descriptions of adventurous places you can explore; have hands-on interactions with native plants; learn about the wisdom of endangered animal species on nearby San Bruno Mountain and the messages that local petroglyphs carry. You’ll learn about the unique gifts offered by this special place in which we live.

While the journeys can be undertaken by motivated individuals or groups using the guidance of Circling San Francisco Bay, this evening also introduces the opportunity to participate in a guided series of monthly visits to seven sacred sites surrounding San Francisco Bay. Beginning in October, 2008, they will culminate in an Earth Day gathering in April, 2009.
